What the Hooting Heck Is The HOOT All About?
6th May has a special place in our hearts.
It’s not because the world’s first postage stamp, the Penny Black, was issued in Great Britain (over 175 years ago might I add).
It was in fact the day we published our first article in The HOOT.
It came in the form of a mouth-watering ‘Stuffed Breast of Lamb recipe’, from the Fabulous Baker Brothers of Hobbs House Bakery, Chipping Sodbury.
“What is The HOOT?” I hear you ask with intrigue. It’s our online property and lifestyle magazine, covering just about everything to do with homes and gardens (and moving home, of course)!

Fast forward 7 months and we’ve produced 32 nuggets, ranging from energy saving tips for home, to celebrity chef blogs including ‘Made by Bob’ and the Masterchef pro Mark Stinchcombe.
My personal favourite is “What Really Happens At The Great British Table”. Did you know, the average dining table has a lifetime of ten years and during that period it will experience 132 arguments and 93 ‘bombshell announcements’?!
The Great British Table. Does it still have a place in our busy lives?
Perhaps you’d like to discover the Hygge (pronounced “Hoo-Ga”) Hype – what the Hoot is it all about? It’s a Danish Lifestyle Phenomenon which is all about creating a cosy atmosphere. But do not fear – we’ve even given you tips on how you can recreate the Hygge Hype in the comfort of your own home this winter.
A good book and a comfy chair is the perfect Hygge way for a solo way to relax the Danish way
We’re not going to stop here. Oh no. At Clutton Cox HQ we have lots of content in the pipeline – it’s just the beginning of The HOOT!
So if you’re seeking for something completely different from a hotel or B&B or you’re dying to discover the very best office chair (yes, we have a blog on that), you’ll want to browse The HOOT – “Wise Words and Wonderful Things” (it’s our motto. No really, it’s our motto).
